I’ve been touching my lymph nodes on my left side a lot within the past 2 days and now the whole area hurts when I touch it and move my head.

I’ve had swollen lymph nodes for many years now. I’ve done various ultrasounds on them and everything seems fine. We don’t know what caused them to swell but they seem to have never gotten back down.

do you have a fever as well as difficulty swallowing

Hello. No I have none of the above. The pain is already better than yesterday. It just seems as though when I touch my lymph nodes multiple times in a day, they hurt for the next couple days as well as the area around them.

hello,
are you taking any medication, allergy...did you try something for pain and inflammation (eg ibuprofen)

Hi, no I am not on any medications. I took Ibuprofen and it does help. I just wanted to enquire to see if this pain was normal. I am going for an ultrasound of the area on Monday as a follow up.

hello, you can take Ibuprofen if it helps but it’s not normal to have the pain.
you have to discuss with your doctor to figure out why and what’s the cause of this pain ( do blood tests and ultrasound again).
