I am not prone to urinary tract infections, but I have symptoms that resemble them. Should I consult a doctor?

I have a pain that appeared this evening coming from the pelvic area with a frequent urge to urinate. There are a few drops of urine coming out and I feel a slight burning while urinating. There is slight bleeding when I wipe. My period is due in 8 days.

Hello,
Your symptoms do indeed resemble those of a urinary tract infection. Since your symptoms are quite recent, it is possible to wait 48 hours to see if the symptoms are temporary. In the meantime, drink a lot of water.
If you have not had a urinary tract infection in the last few years and your symptoms persist, you should consult a doctor to confirm the diagnosis and receive appropriate treatment.
