Is there any impact of taking Champix (by men) on a possible pregnancy?

My spouse is in his first month of pharmacological treatment (Champix - varenicline) to stop smoking. As we are trying to have a child, I was wondering if there were any risks for the possible future baby in the making. Would it be better to wait until the medication is stopped? If so, how long after quitting should we start again? Thank you so much for your help!

Hello, in the monograph of Champix, there is no risk for the possible future baby (taken by the man in this case of course). In this case, your spouse can continue his Treatment while having the peace of mind to put all the chances on his side. Thank you
