What treatment for hemorrhoids?

I have external hemorrhoids, what over-the-counter medication can I take to calm the symptoms? Also, I have been having more or less frequent diarrhea for the past few months. I am waiting for an appointment for a colonoscopy on this.

Good evening, ma'am. There are several options available over the counter. One option would be Anusol Plus ointment, which among other things can help improve your comfort. Be aware that it can take 7-14 days to heal in some cases. The ointment can be applied inside and out twice a day and also after each bowel movement.
