Is it normal for me to feel nauseous at times as my period approaches? What is the reason for this & am I more likely to have pregnancy nausea?

The nausea you are experiencing is related to premenstrual syndrome. It is true that nausea at the beginning of pregnancy can be similar to PMS nausea, although they do not occur at the same time. I have not seen any studies showing that a woman who is more prone to nausea during PMS is also more prone to nausea during pregnancy. Most of the time, there is an increase in appetite in pregnant women that is not present when nausea is related to PMS. Note that if you have nausea while pregnant, you can stop by your pharmacist and he or she can direct you with a medication to control it if it happens
