My son has a bubble on his lip like a water blister. I could use some help. What to do?

My son has a bubble on his lip. It doesn't sting or burn. No fever and no cold sores in our family.

Hello Ma'am,
How are you this morning? Is the bubble still as large?
Do you think he could have burned himself? And how old is he?

Good morning, the bubble is still there and the same size. You can see that there is a liquid inside. It is 8 years old. He didn't burn himself either.
Could it be impetigo? He has his hands to his mouth very often.
It's a shame I can't send you a picture of his lip you would be able to get a good look at his bubble.
Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Thanks for the details!
It could be impetigo, indeed. In which case, the bubbles are more often small and filled with a clear yellow fluid that looks a bit like honey (very contagious).
If the bubble is still that large tomorrow, I would urge you to see a doctor.
As the pandemic is causing great challenges in the doctor's office, perhaps you could try services such as Hello Health or Maple if your doctor cannot see you within a week.
I am sorry I cannot be of more help at this time.
Happy day,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
