My 1 year old daughter has been rubbing her left eye since today. The inside of her lower eyelid seems to be bright red. What should I do?

Should we consult a doctor? She has been coughing since March 12, she sneezes and her nose runs. Thank you and have a nice day

Hello Ma'am,
No, you should not see a doctor at this time (especially with what is currently going on with COVID).
If you believe the red eye may be related to a "foreign body" in her eye, I would recommend seeing an optometrist tomorrow.
If you simply believe it is related to his cold (and rubbing with his hand), I recommend decreasing the amount of mucus in his nose by using the technique described on pages 6 and 7 of the following document: https://www.chusj.org/getmedia/d81f7af6-a93c-4e86-9011-f523e13279a8/depliant_F-886_hygiene-nasal.pdf.aspx?ico=.pdf 👈😊.
At the end of 2 days, if nothing changes, at that point we can go see a doctor.
Good evening,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist
