What to do about a cold sore?

Good evening, ma'am. Cold sores are caused by a virus, so Polysporin is unlikely to help you. I would encourage you to consult your pharmacist who can suggest a better over-the-counter treatment. That being said, if you have already received a prescription from a doctor to treat cold sores, your pharmacist may be able to refill it or re-prescribe it after a consultation.
