Can a pharmacy write a prescription for tonsillitis?

Hello, My new one has all the symptoms of tonsillitis. Since we are in Covid time, it is difficult to see a doctor and he has an appointment only tomorrow.

Hello Ma'am,
I'm glad you found an appointment for the next day.
As far as treating tonsillitis in the pharmacy, we will need a doctor's prescription anyway. The test (strep test) can be done at the pharmacy, but only after receiving a prescription from a doctor.
Finally, be aware that many sore throats similar to bacterial pharyngitis (for which an antibiotic is prescribed) are more like viral pharyngitis, for which nothing should be prescribed.
To find out if in the following situation it is rather viral, I invite you to do the questionnaire available on page 2 here: https://www.inesss.qc.ca/fileadmin/doc/CDM/UsageOptimal/Guides-serieI/Guide-PharyngiteAmygdalite.pdf?sword_list%5B0%5D=pharyngite&no_cache=1. If the result is less than 3, then medical consultation is probably not necessary.
