Before my breast cancer ( fall 2016), I used to buy my medications at Costco. They were cheaper than PJC. In the fall of 2016, I switched to a Familiprix that had a sterile hood to prepare injections that I had to give myself at home. I take several medications: Venflaxine, Toviaz, Metoprolol, Coversyl and Tamoxifen

Hello,
If you have government insurance (RAMQ), the price of your medication will be the same no matter which pharmacy you go to. However, if you have private insurance, the price may vary depending on the pharmacy. Often, the cost may be higher for one of your medications, but another medication may be cheaper, so the total bill often balances out and varies by a few dollars in the end (most of the time, but I don't want to generalize). That being said, we always encourage people to choose their pharmacy not only on the basis of the cost of their medication, but also on the basis of the services offered and the quality of customer service provided by the staff, both pharmacists and laboratory technicians. What we must not forget is that the profit made on the drugs sold does not go directly into the pockets of the pharmacist owners. This money is used to pay the salaries of employees, rent, ordered inventory, etc., which is why the price can vary from one pharmacy to another depending on the level of services offered to a pharmacy's customers. I hope I was able to answer your question satisfactorily, so don't hesitate to write me again if necessary!
