How long can I have spotting after starting a new pill?

I changed my pill 2 months ago, because I was always bleeding outside of my period, and it wasn't just spotting, but heavy bleeding. Last month my pill made me, I didn't have any spotting but this month I did. I don't know if it's because my pill doesn't make me anymore or just because I changed pills and hormones too and my body is not used to it yet?

Hello, When changing birth control pills, it is normal for the body to undergo a period of "rebalancing" which often results in spotting or the onset of menstruation at unexpected times. It is often recommended not to worry about this in the first 3 months after starting a new pill. I encourage you to stay on this pill. Chances are that the next month, everything will go as planned. Note that for some women, the spotting disappears completely after 6 months. This is rare, but not impossible! Have a nice day, Alexandre
