Should I stop taking my pill continuously?

Hello, I have been taking the contraceptive pill continuously for over a year. I haven't had my period for a long time. Since a few days I have brownish beige discharge... I have a stomach ache like a menstruation ache. Is it recommended to stop taking the pill continuously after a while? Thank you very much, have a nice day!

Hello,
There is no danger in taking the pill continuously and it is not recommended to stop after a certain period of time. Since taking the pill creates an artificial hormonal cycle, it is a false belief that the body needs to "empty" itself once in a while. Thus, each month, the period of cessation is at the discretion of the person and optional
Because the pill does not completely stop your cycle, some patients report menstrual-like symptoms. However, this does not prevent you from continuing it as usual if you wish.
