Hello, I am wondering what the effects of stopping the contraceptive pill can be when taken since adolescence?

We want to form our family, but without pressure. However, my periods were not regular at all with the pill. I would like to know what to expect?

Hello!
There are no residual effects when you stop taking the contraceptive pill, even if you have been taking it for a long time. As soon as more than 7 days have passed without the pill, the effect of the contraception ends
Thus, your "regular" cycle will resume after stopping the pill and you would be at risk of pregnancy after a period of one week without your contraception.
I hope that I have answered your question correctly and I wish you a happy new year!

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
I would like to know if there can be any side effects on my body and moods with stopping the pill. I have heard stories of hormone shock..
Thank you

Certainly, the pill helps control menstruation and can help reduce PMS. Stopping the pill may cause these discomforts to return. However, stopping the pill will not cause them. When you stop taking the pill, your normal cycle will resume as before, without causing you any additional discomfort.
Are you reassured?
