I'm wondering if it's normal that I'm almost menstruating when it's really not my date. I am on the birth control pill.

Hello,
How long have you been using the pill? If you are in your first 3 months, it is possible that your cycle is unbalanced and that there is blood loss at any time, this is normal. It will settle down soon. Another reason would be if you are on the pill continuously. After a while, your period may start in the middle of a pill bottle. At this point, stop for 4-7 days and resume your pack as before
Do either of these circumstances apply to you?

Yes, I'm in the first three months and it's as heavy as my normal period, so I'm wondering if I should stop it for a few days and start a new pack?

If you are using a second method of birth control for the next 7 days if you are having sex, you may want to stop for a week and then start again.
