I wonder if this is normal. Has my asthma gotten worse? Do I need to get a second pump?

Hello, I have had exercise-induced asthma for almost 5 years. For some time now, I have noticed that my asthma is rapidly degenerating during my compulsory sports practice. I asked around and found out that people have 2 pumps, one of which is a backup. I find this really strange because my doctor has never prescribed 2 pumps. From what I understand I only have the backup. After a big effort, I don't breathe well for 2 to 3 days.

Good evening,
Going to the " Here are the main criteria for well-controlled asthma ", tell me what you think.

After reading, I would say that my asthma is not well controlled because I take my pump more than 4 times a week. Again in this article it talks about a backup pump. What other pump do I not have? I only have a Brycanil.

This will be an inhaled corticosteroid pump.
It would be wise to make an appointment with your doctor.

Okay, but finally, is my Brycanil a backup pump or is it the other one I don't have?

You have the backup pump. That's why you'll need to make an appointment to reassess your treatment.

Okay, thanks I'll make a note of the show need to make an appointment.

Hoping it all helps, I wish you a lovely evening.
