Is it normal to have positive ovulation tests for more than 5 days?

23-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, I stopped the contraceptive pill on June 23 for a baby trial. I had my period from June 25 to 30 and then I had my period from July 31 to August 4. Today I am at day 42 of my cycle. My ovulation tests have been positive for 5 days (from September 6 to 10) and they are all very dark. I did several pregnancy tests and they are all negative.

Hello, and thank you for your message!
Ovulation and pregnancy tests are usually quite accurate. However, on day 42 of your cycle, it would seem that the ovulation tests are indeed "positive"...
If the absence of menstruation persists beyond 4 weeks, and the pregnancy tests continue to be negative, I invite you to consult a doctor, by pure precaution.
I hope I have helped you, and I remain available if you have any other questions!
