Hello, Indeed, one would tend to believe that by taking Aspirin (which irritates the stomach), a protection for the stomach like Pantoloc would be necessary. However, the simple taking of Aspirin does not justify the taking of Pantoloc. Do you have more information? Has she ever had a stomach ulcer? Is she taking other medications? We look forward to hearing from you! Stéphane Villeneuve, pharmacist

Hello again, With the little information I have at this time, I am leaning more towards the stomach protector not being essential. That being said, I invite you to call us or to come to the pharmacy so that the analysis can be done by including all the relevant elements. In addition, your visit to the pharmacy will allow us to determine if the Aspirin treatment that Mrs. is taking is still relevant and essential! In fact, several recent studies inform us that Aspirin, in certain specific cases, may not be as essential as previously thought. It is your pharmacist's job to do this analysis and to collaborate with the doctor so that the lady receives the right medication. Hoping to have answered your question clearly. Sincerely, Stéphane Villeneuve, pharmacist
