What temperature is considered a fever in a baby?

Hello, my 1 year old baby woke up a little agitated during the night, she had a fever of 37.9 I gave her advil for infants. Is this ok or is advil too early to give4 since she doesn't have much of a fever? Thank you

The temperature was taken rectally

By the way, a temperature below 38 Celsius is not considered a fever

So for now, I recommend not giving any fever medication (Advil or Tylenol), and just monitoring your baby's condition.
