Hello, I would like to understand the level of danger between certain medications and grapefruit juice. Should we remove all grapefruit juice from our diet (no glass of juice, no salad dressing containing juice, no grapefruit peel in a recipe, etc.) or should we simply avoid swallowing our medications while drinking grapefruit juice?

Hello,
The interaction between certain drugs and grapefruit juice can vary depending on the molecule, its dosage and the quantity of grapefruit. In order to answer properly, I need to know the list of drugs involved.
Can you tell me what medications he is taking?

Thank you for your quick feedback. Here is the list of his medications :

. 1/day Teva-Rosuvastatin 40 mg
. 1/morning+1/evening Metfotmin 500 mg
. 1/month Invokana
. 1/evening Irbesartan-HCTZ 300 mg
. 2/month Apo-Gliclazide 30 mg
. 1/week Ozempic 1md

Oops... for Ozempic it is 1mg not 1md once a week..

Thank you for the clarification
After checking, only Invokana could present a slight risk of interaction with grapefruit juice or grapefruit. On the other hand, the interaction does not seem to me to be very significant with this medication, so I think that it can be safe to consume grapefruit products from time to time without any fear
