I had my IUD, mirena inserted yesterday morning following my 2nd pregnancy. Could this be the cause of my ophthalmic migraine?

Hi, thanks for your question!
Yes, sporadic use of sumatriptan while breastfeeding is safe
As for the cause of the migraine, it's too difficult to know if the IUD is the cause, unfortunately.
I hope I've been helpful, and I'm available if you have any other questions!

Thank you for your answer. When I was pregnant, my doctor prescribed sumatriptan that I could take 50mg and take another tablet if the migraine did not subside within 2 hours. Can I do the same thing with breastfeeding?

Yes, it's the same way to take it
