Can I combine the syrup with the cold and sinus capsules, or will it be too much?

Benylin syrup + buckley capsules I don't want to take an evening capsule right away so I don't fall asleep, but I would like some relief now so I can feel good in the evening

Hello,
It's best to stick to one or the other of these two products only, as there are some common ingredients that may double up if you combine the two together..
Buckley capsules generally contain:
  • Acetaminophen: For pain and fever
  • Dextromethorphan: For coughs
  • Pseudoephedrine: For nasal congestion
  • Doxylamine (night): For runny nose and to help sleep.
Depending on the type of Benylin Syrup you have on hand, one or more of these ingredients may be present, so you may be taking the same medication twice.
If you are already taking Benylin Syrup and would like an additional product to help with a particular symptom, please let me know which syrup you have (or more specifically, tell me what letters you see on the top right hand side of the box - it has either DM, D, E, A and/or AH) and which symptom is persisting?
Sincerely,
David Tan, pharmacist
