Is it normal to have my period even though I am on the pill and have not taken hormone-free pills?

Hello. I recently changed my pill to Lolo, before I was taking Alesse. Is it normal that I have bleeding as if I had my period even if I did not take the pills without hormones? I know that during the first 3 months the spotting can be a side effect but I have had about 10/15 days without bleeding since I made the change. It's been about a month and a half since I changed.

Hello,
This is an effect that we notice more often with Lolo. In fact, it is the product containing the lowest dose of hormones on the market. Is there a specific reason why the doctor prescribed this contraceptive specifically?

I had mood swings and headaches quite often after taking my pill

I have a feeling this one won't either. Which one did you take before (the one that gave you headaches)?

I was taking Alesse

At this point, you have 2 options. You can decide to continue Lolo for a few more weeks. When changing contraceptives, it is possible to have some instability for about 3 months. The other option would be to change the contraceptive right away. Regular bleeding is a common effect with Lolo according to what I observe in my practice

Perfect thank you so much. I'm going to make an appointment to change my birth control 🙂
