I stopped my contraception on March 9, my last period was on March 13. Today, April 16, I don't have my period yet. Is this normal?

Hello Ma'am,
If I understand correctly, you have been off hormonal birth control since early March, right? What birth control method did you use in April? Have you had unprotected sex?

I have been off birth control since March 9 because me and my boyfriend want our first baby, and yes I have had unprotected sex since then. I took a pregnancy test when I was 2 days late as well as 6 days late, but they were negative. I was wondering how many days late my period should I << worry >> and contact my doctor?
Maybe it's just a hormonal disturbance related to stopping my birth control?
thanks!

Thanks for the details.
It is indeed possible to think that this is a normal impact of your recent discontinuation of hormonal contraception. That said, there is no need to worry at all at this time. In fact, you may not have a period at all this month and it still wouldn't be a concern.
We usually wait until the absence of a period has been present for more than 2 months and the pregnancy tests are still negative before we worry.
For the rest, I recommend that you take one pregnancy test per week until your period starts.
Happy ending and good luck with your conception!
