Hello, I have a lot of pimples around my jawline and cheeks. My esthetician tells me it's related to the mask. What to do

Hello,
If you did not have acne or rosacea before the introduction of the daily mask, it is most likely due to the ''mascne'' phenomenon: acne caused by wearing a mask.
Here are some tips to prevent or reduce mascne:
  • Wash your face thoroughly morning and night with a mild, fragrance-free soap
  • Use a moisturizing lotion (ideally non-comedogenic) after each cleaning.
  • Choose the fabric of your mask carefully. Choose a 100% cotton mask
  • For a washable mask: wash it every day at the end of the day; For a disposable mask: never re-use it and throw it away as soon as it is wet or dirty
  • Fit your mask properly, but make it too tight to avoid unnecessary friction with the skin
  • Remove the mask as soon as it is no longer needed
If you want recommendations on which products to use, come and see us in the pharmacy and we will guide you :)
Hope to see you soon!
