Hello Ma'am, First of all, you should know that the fact that the belly button is possibly infected due to stool backflow is very unlikely, as the infection process usually takes more than a day. The belly button may be a little irritated, but not infected. In such a case, I recommend that you continue to wash the belly button with soapy water at bath time and "swab" the base of the belly button gently with a cotton swab while bathing.
