I took my pill late and I have spotting?

Hello, I have been taking the contraceptive pill for a month now. Two weeks ago I forgot my pill for a few hours and my period started for 1 and a half weeks. Since a few days I have spotting, with mini blood clots. Is it normal that this happens? My pill is supposed to trigger my period every 3 months.

It can happen that forgetting to take a contraceptive, or even taking it late, can cause bleeding and possibly a menstrual cycle disruption for some people While this can be unpleasant, it does not necessarily indicate a problem and usually goes away on its own.
