What can I do? Stop the eczema cream and see what happens?

Great, yes indeed a cream with cortisone is required here.

Aveeno, I keep this to prevent it from coming back, but not to treat.

So 1% hydrocortisone cream (in pharmacy), apply locally 3 times a day for a good week.
