I stopped the yaz contraceptive pill since April 4 and since the beginning of the week I have been experiencing pain in my lower abdomen.

I stopped my pill to take a break (not in order to get pregnant, I have no partner). At first I didn't feel any side effects but since this Monday I have a discomfort in my lower abdomen. Sometimes it's like a menstrual cramp but most of the time it's a discomfort in the lower abdomen, almost at the beginning of the pubic area. When I weigh it is very uncomfortable and even a little painful. I don't have pain anywhere else and my general condition is as usual. I have not had any periods since I stopped. Is this normal?

Good evening,
In my opinion it can be normal. When the menstrual cycle returns, it can present itself in different ways. The symptoms you describe sound like ovulation
Do you have any associated discharge?

I haven't noticed if I'm shedding more because I was already shedding slightly
sometimes when I stand up to walk or sit down I feel the discomfort

I would like to add to this because I talked to the nursing assistant at my workplace.
she had me do a urine test and she finds that my urine is slightly cloudy
last Monday I still had to go to the bathroom but I wasn't urinating much. However, this situation only lasted one day
it doesn't burn when I urinate but I still feel very tense as I explained yesterday

Thank you, with these elements it might point more towards a urinary tract infection finally
Many of the symptoms you mention are related to this type of problem. You could stop by the pharmacy and we could see if we can take care of your situation

Perfect! How does it work?
Jean-Sébastien Lecompte · 3 years ago
You simply have to go to the pharmacy to meet the pharmacist. It is also possible to proceed by videoconsultation to obtain the same service.

Not necessarily, you can make an appointment but it is also possible to go directly to the pharmacy, the pharmacist on duty will be able to evaluate your situation
