Seasonal allergy and covid-19. I would like to have clarification to make the difference.

For about 3-4 weeks, the back of my palate has been stinging and my eyes have been running, especially in the morning. It doesn't hurt when I swallow but I feel that it stings from the back of the palate to the throat. I don't cough, no temperature either. I sneeze and blow my nose slightly. I am very anxious about the covid and I always wonder when to worry... thank you

Hello,
The symptoms you describe to me are really more like seasonal allergies than COVID
With COVID-19, you would probably have a fever and a wet cough. There would have been a gradation of symptoms after 7 to 10 days. Nasal symptoms or itching are much less typical with COVID-19.
What treatment have you tried so far to try and get relief?

I have been taking allergy pills. It helps but I wonder how often I can take them?
during the day I have aerius which doesn't cause drowsiness and at night I have another kind which makes me very sleepy. I took one last night at bedtime and I just took one today. What dosage do you recommend?

Of course, Aerius is only to be taken once a day. The other bedtime medication, I guess, is Benadryl?
It can take a few days to get relief. What symptoms are most bothersome right now?

I think it's Bernadryl, I took the brand option + so I don't know the name
at the moment I have mostly the palate that stings and the throat too. In the evening when I'm in bed (with the windows open) I have a blocked nostril but it's not too bad
last night I took the sleeping one and this morning aerius and my symptoms are really diminished

You can take both antihistamines at the same time, but only for a few days. If the symptoms persist and you still need both, it would be better to replace Benadryl with intranasal cortisone. It is much more effective for all allergy symptoms including congestion. I could also give you the prescription if needed
