I would like to know if it is possible for a baby to have an ear infection even if he or she does not have a fever

Good evening!
Yes, it is possible! In the case of an external otitis, there is never a fever and in the case of an internal otitis (the one for which oral antibiotics are prescribed), there will never be a fever. Some children may have very few symptoms.
Hope this answers your question!

I agree! And which symptoms are a sign that it would be necessary to consult? For the past 2 days we have noticed that she is playing with her ears more than usual, one more than the other... She seems to be trying to scratch herself, putting her fingers in and pulling on them! She is irritable and chews a lot... She has never had an ear infection before so I have no clue if it is just a tick or an adon..

Hello!
If her general condition has been bad for 2 days and there doesn't seem to be any improvement, it would be best to consult today or tomorrow. Also, if you have noticed fluid or blood coming out of her ear or if she seems to have trouble hearing, you should consult as well.
